Trista Dierdre Duran

Posted

Trista Dierdre Duran was born March 17, 1975, in Groom, Texas, to Barbara B. Hamilton of Mannford, OK. Trista was the youngest of four sisters and a fraternal twin to James Guthrie Duran, who passed away at six days of age.

Trista was a beautiful, curly-haired blonde, and a happy and energetic little girl. At the age of three, she had a fall and hit her head. A short time later she started experiencing speech regression, couldn't feed herself, and eventually couldn't walk or talk. Doctors counted her out so many times over the years, but she fought back every step of the way until the evening of June 15, 2023, when her little body just couldn't fight anymore. We lost our baby sister, but we find peace in the fact that she can now run into our mother’s loving arms and hurt no more.

Trista attended private and public schools, completing a special education program through the Evanston school system, and was an honorary graduate at Mountain View High School. Trista lived at WLRC from 1998 until her passing. She was a daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many.

She loved being involved with and around others and especially loved hearing the voices of her family. She was always the toughest of us all. Even through all her pain she was such a happy person (with a little inherited attitude, of course.) She was so strong. Anybody who knew her absolutely adored her. She was an angel on this earth, and she just gained her wings to fly. You will be dearly missed, our little Tater Bug!

Trista leaves behind her sisters, Panda (Brian) Bourelle of Bishop, Calif.; Dotti Noorda (Jason) of Randolph, Utah; Emily Duran-Boggs (Doug-deceased) of Shallotte, NC; niece and nephews; Jeremy (Ashley) Brunow; Tommy (Raeanna) Brunow; Brian Bourelle Jr.; Laura Bourelle; Damon (Savanna) Noorda; Joshua J E Noorda; Nathan (Nadia) Tippie; Tim Tippie; & many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, James Guthrie Duran; grandparents, Frank & Blanche Nettles; nephew, Jacob James Edward Noorda; mother, Barbara Belle Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Douglas Wayne Boggs.

A graveside service will be held on Friday June 23, 2023, at the Evanston City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Viewing will be at the Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta Street, Evanston from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m.
