Tina Anne Smith passed away in her home on Friday, April 11, due to complications from COPD.
Tina was a loving soul with a huge character, making an impact on anyone she met. She was a giving person who would give a stranger her last dollar if she thought it would help — even in times when she may have needed it herself.
Tina was known for her quirkiness and speaking from her heart. When, at times, it may have come across as rash, it always came from a place of love.
Tina had many passions in her life and was all about learning new things and experiencing all she could. She was a fun-loving individual with a huge smile and laugh that would light up the room.
Tina enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. She was her loved ones’ biggest fan and loudest cheerleader in whatever they were doing. She never missed a chance to tell them how proud she was or express her love to them. Her grandkids were the light of her life.
Tina would want us all to remember to be kind to one another, but also to be kind to yourself. We are all going through something, and a little compassion can go a long way. In times of darkness, try to look toward the light, and remember to say your prayers and seek God’s wisdom.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the Bear Pavilion at the Bear Ice Ponds. Speeches will start around 3 p.m., with a spaghetti dinner to follow. Tina wanted us to have her one last party, so let’s get together and remember the good times and celebrate her life.
