Violet Iverson McCormick, age 95, passed away peacefully on Aug. 31, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Born May 10, 1931, in Mountain View, Wyoming, she was the daughter of Lewis and Gladys Iverson.
Violet deeply loved her family and had five children. She retired from White Sands Missile Range after a dedicated career of more than 20 years as an executive secretary.
Her legacy lives on through her surviving children: Lorin L. Davis and wife Perla, Ramsay Chad Davis, and Dianne Davis Lee and husband Michael. She was the proud grandmother of: Brian L. Davis, Bryan Johnson and wife Heather, Leslie Hathaway, Joshua Dan Sanford and Stormi Dawn McCormick. Violet also had nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James C. McCormick; her parents; two of her cherished children, Gary L. Davis and Colleen Davis Sanford; and her granddaughter, Codi Danielle Soto-Sanford.
Her family will forever cherish her memory and her kindness to everyone.
