Robert B. Lowham (Bob), 84, died on May 22, in Westminster, California, from cardiopulmonary arrest. Bob was born to Robert A. Lowham and Vivian (Billie) Lowham (nee Bloomfield) on Nov. 4, 1938.
He graduated from Evanston High School in May 1957. He entered the U.S. Air Force in October 1957, and he was honorably discharged four years later. He successfully completed training as an electronics technician from what became Salt Lake Technical College.
After completion of the school, he left for the electronics, areo-space, applied technology industries of the Los Angeles area. He soon married Marilyn MaGee, a high school sweetheart in 1963 and adopted her daughter Ann. Bob and Marilyn divorced.
Bob worked in the aerospace and electronics technical field from the middle of the ’60s until he retired in 2010.
He had several interests during his lifetime, including raising birds, keeping tropical fish, and other objects that showed quality workmanship, precision and skill. Bob had an unquenchable desire to learn how his tools and machines worked by taking them apart and putting them back together. Whether he was with his many interests or enjoying a glass of wine, he always savored life.
Bob was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Keith.
He is survived by his daughter, Ann, of Westminster, California; brother, Jim, of Fort Collins, Colorado; and sister, Deb Morrow (Jeff) of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Search Light Ministries, 2311 Chapman Ave., Fullerton, California, on Nov. 4, at 1 p.m.
