Clarence Joseph Vranish was born on Sept. 8, 1941, in Roundup, Montana. He departed this world on Dec. 30, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Vranish; mother, Louise Vranish; and sister, Sally Armstrong.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Clara Jean; sons, Eric (Annette) and Michael (Rhonda); cherished grandchildren, Alyssa and Joseph; brothers, Randolph and Ken; sister, Shirley Berving; and Marka Marquensens.
One of his greatest enjoyments was being involved in the community. Clarence was passionate about the Masons, being involved in many facets of the organization. Clarence had the honor of serving as the Grand Master of the State of Wyoming, providing him many opportunities to travel the state and nation, where he made many friends.
Clarence was a veteran of the United States Army. He had also served on the Wyoming State Legislature, the Evanston City Council, as a hunter safety Instructor, and on many local boards.
Clarence had many joys beyond his grandchildren. He was an accomplished pilot and enjoyed introducing people to aviation, taking many people for their first flight. He was a skilled electrical engineer, who had designed oil field tooling, and enjoyed talking to people from around the world with his knowledge in ham radio (N7DT).
Clarence’s legacy lives on through his family, his contributions to the community, and the impact he made in various spheres of his rich and fulfilling life.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, in the Evanston Roundhouse. Viewing will be prior to services at the Roundhouse from 9 to 10:45 am. Interment with military honors will be in the Evanston City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital in memory of Clarence.
