The governing body of the City of Evanston will hold a public hearing at City Hall, 1200 Main Street, Evanston, Wyoming, at 5:30 P.M. on October 1, 2024 to consider the potential sale of real property to AGN, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company pursuant to a Real Estate Lease With Option to Purchase. The real property is more particularly described as:

Township 15 North, Range 120 West, 6th P.M., Uinta County Wyoming: Section 16:  part of the SE 1/4 SE 1/4 described as follows:

Commencing at a point which is S 89° 46' W, 494.18 feet from the southeast corner of said section 16,

The Lease is for an initial term of 60 months, with options for AGN, LLC to renew the Lease for three (3) additional periods of 60 months each. The Lease provides AGN, LLC with the option to purchase the property at the end of 60, 120, 180 and 240 months. The Lease permits AGN, LLC to construct improvements on the property during the term or any extended terms of the Lease

The appraised value of the real property is $420,000.00. The purchase price for the real property if the option is exercised after 60 months is $340,000, $280,000 if the option is exercised after 120 months.  The hearing is to provide information so the governing body can determine whether the use of the Property as proposed by AGN, LLC will benefit the economic development of the municipality pursuant to Wyo. Stat. §15-1-112 (b)(i)(D).

First Regular Meeting

September 3rd, 2024

The official record of proceedings of the first regular meeting of the Evanston City Council for the month of September was held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the above date. These proceedings were video recorded and streamed live.

A student from Horizon High School led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Williams called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and welcomed everyone present.

Those present from the governing body at the start of the meeting were: Mayor Williams; Council members, Tim Lynch, Jesse Lind, Evan Perkes, Dave Welling, Mike Sellers and Jen Hegeman.

A public hearing was conducted by City Attorney, Mark Harris, for all the applicants that filed for the renewal of their liquor licenses within the City of Evanston.  Mr. Harris stated that all the applications have been reviewed by the City Clerk and the Wyoming Liquor Division. Notice for the hearing has been advertised for two consecutive weeks in the local newspaper.  Mr. Harris asked if there was any opposition or comments regarding any of the liquor license renewals. There being no comments, Mr. Harris closed the hearing.

Discussion Regarding Machine Shop Air Conditioning

Councilmember Hegeman requested an update on the Machine Shop Air Conditioning. Mr. O’Neill provided information to the Council. Staff indicated information will be provided at the next regular meeting relating to structural engineers and energy efficiency grants.

Council member Lynch introduced Resolution 24-59.  Council member Lynch moved, Council member Lind seconded, to adopt Resolution 24-59.

You are further notified that upon the 8th of October 2024, being at least 40 days after the first publication of this notice, the City of Evanston will pay the full amount due under said Contract; and in the event that your claim is not filed with the City Clerk of said City prior to said 8th day of October 2024, the same shall be waived.
