Shauna Jean Brimhall peacefully received her promotion on Monday, April 28, in Evanston, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Green River on Aug. 13, 1934, to Preston Eugene Eyre and Liddie Pauline Bluemel. She and her brother, LaMar, were raised lovingly by their parents in Evanston.
She married George H. Brimhall in Evanston on June 5, 1954, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake City temple on Dec. 3, 1956.
Shauna was a devoted mother to Kipp and Kerry, who were always her priority. She worked for the Uinta County School District, where she could be near her children. When they graduated, she took a job in the Uinta County Library, where she was surrounded by beloved books.
She cherished her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in multiple callings throughout her life including ward organist, choir director, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and Relief Society president.
Shauna is survived by her son, George Kipp Brimhall of Evanston; her daughter, Kerry Jean (Dale) Rasmussen of Portland, Oregon; and her brother, Preston LaMar (Sharron) Eyre of Lehi, Utah.
She was delighted to be the grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of 15. She is preceded in death by her husband, George H. Brimhall; her parents; and her granddaughter, Charly Jean Rasmussen.
Shauna was well known for her sweet, kind nature, as well as her rosy, positive outlook. She brought magic and sparkle wherever she went.
Services will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Independence Ward building, located at 721 West Cheyenne Dr. in Evanston, on Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to the funeral.
