Sharon Rae Done

Sharon Rae Done, 70, passed away July 22, at Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness in Casper.

She was born May 8, 1953, in Evanston, to Keith Done and June Lowham Done. Sharon graduated from Evanston High School in 1971.

Attending the University of Wyoming, Sharon graduated in 1975 with a degree in speech pathology and speech therapy. She worked with the Buffalo school system as a speech therapist.

Sharon then attended Wheaton College in Illinois, graduating in 1984 with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She returned to Wyoming, accepting a position at Central Wyoming Counseling Center (CWCC), where she worked from 1984 to 2015, when she retired.

Colleagues at CWCC remember Sharon as an ethical and professional therapist with a strong work ethic, saying she was passionate about reaching women suffering from depression and making a difference in hundreds of people’s lives.

Sharon also helped new counselors at CWCC, taking them under her wing and making them feel welcome.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents: Keith in 2002, and June in 2008.

She is survived by her brother, Bill (Colleen) Done of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a nephew, Brian (April) Done; and a niece, Shannon (Paul) Clark.

There will be a memorial service at  11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston.
