Sandy Henrikson Smith, 75, died Dec. 11, 2025, in Rockville, Maryland. Cremation has taken place.
Sandy was born to Clarence and Marie (Best) Henrikson in Evanston, on July 21, 1950. She joined the Army in 1968, and was honorably discharged. She was the adjutant of the American Legion post in Wheaton, Maryland, for 32 years.
She married Jim Smith in Kensington, Maryland. He preceded Sandy in death, along with her two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one granddaughter; two sons, Steven of North Carolina and David of Indiana; sister, Jan (Ron) Murphy of Riverton; brother, Rich Henrikson of Riverton; several nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.
There won’t be a service in Wyoming, but there will be a celebration of life in early spring, in Kensington, Maryland.
