On Thursday, November 21, 2024, we lost our beloved father, husband and friend, Raymond Carver. He passed away at his home in Urie.
He moved to Ogden, Utah, as a very young boy, with his parents and sister, from England.
He graduated high school and later moved to Wyoming, where he started a family and his career at the mines, where he worked at FMC for 30-plus years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved being anywhere hunting or fishing with family or friends. Ray was well known around the valley and had many close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerold and Ivy Carver; and a brother, John Richard.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Carver; his sister, Jean Gordon; his five children John (Colette) Carver, Shelia (Jamie) Deinhardt, Chad (Mary) Carver, Kaycee Carver and Kimberly Lopez; his grandchildren, James, Daniel, Kenna, Dakota, Trey, Raiden, Oaklyn and Brinlee; and many great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger.
There will be lunch and an open bar after. We hope to see you there to remember Ray and share stories.
