Michael Jay Erickson, born Nov. 22, 1947, passed away peacefully from a long illness on March 29, at his home in Yuma, Arizona. He was a long-time resident of Evanston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sheila Erickson; their two sons, Michael Jay (Shantell) Erickson Jr. and Brad (Amy) Erickson, all of Evanston; four grandchildren, JaCoy (Aubree) Erickson, Jocilyn (Conner) Sullivan, Timber Erickson and Jay Erickson; six brothers; and three sisters.
Mike enjoyed his friends and relationships he had in both Evanston and Yuma, and his presence and smile will be missed by many.
A graveside service will take place in Evanston for family and select friends later during the summer.
