To know Megan was to love her, she faced adversity with strength and dignity. Her brave, fierce, fiery spirit gave strength to those who will always love and miss her. Her laughter and witty sense of humor have provided many memorable stories that will be cherished forever.

Megan graduated from Evanston High School and married the love of her life, JP Cummings, on May 4, 2002. They have two sons, Kendell and Kaden.

Megan took great pride in being a devoted wife and she was honored to support JP as he has served on the Evanston Fire Department, giving back to the community they love.

Her greatest joy in life was watching her boys, cheering them on in all their endeavors. As a family, they drove thousands of miles and loved making priceless memories with their baseball and wrestling families.

Megan lived and loved life to the fullest, enjoying the outdoors, hunting, camping and any adventures involving family.

Megan took great pride in being a devoted employee at Evanston Regional Hospital. She loved working in the operating room and found meaning and purpose in her work. She met numerous close, lifelong friends who have continued to support her throughout her medical journey.

Cleaning out her locker was the most challenging day. However, she was very content and found peace and happiness while gardening, attending to their animals and beautiful home.

Megan is survived by her loving husband, JP; and their sons, Kendell and Kaden; her devoted parents, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.
