Mariel Timperley, “Grandma T,” age 90, of Evanston, passed away and returned to her Heavenly Home Thursday, Feb. 20. She was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Evanston, where she resided most of her life. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Maud Morgan.
Mariel is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Gilpin (Von) and son, Kelly Lake (Ronna); stepsons, Eric Timperley and Mark Timperley; stepdaughters, Laura Sandoval and Sarah Fratt; sister, JoAnn Meadows (Dee); 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husbands, Keith Bishop, Jerry Lake and Richard Timperley; son, Michael Lake (Susan); brothers, Blain and John Morgan (Iva Lou); and stepson, Craig Timperley.
As an active member in her community and church, she will be missed by many others outside of her family, as well.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, and another from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., on Monday, March 3, at the Evanston Stake Center, 721 W. Cheyenne Dr., Evanston.
