Linda Sue Rosbrook, a woman of profound courage, dedication and immense talent, passed away peacefully at her home in Evanston.
Born on March 29, 1954, Linda spent a lifetime in service to her country, community, and loved ones.
Raised in Jackson, Linda loved the outdoors, hunting, skiing and traveling. A deeply meaningful highlight of her life was traveling to Germany and walking the Holy Grounds in Israel. For her final 30 years, she proudly called Evanston home.
Linda’s legacy is defined by her extraordinary 30-year military career in the U.S. Army and Air National Guard. A brave and resilient soldier, she deployed for Operation Desert Storm, stood on the front lines after 9/11, and served honorably in Iraq and Afghanistan.
When not in uniform, Linda was a master of all trades with an incredible mind for how things worked. Meticulous and brilliant, she mastered diesel mechanics, HVAC systems, electrical work and carpentry. There was truly nothing she couldn’t build or fix.
Linda is survived by her loving wife and devoted partner, Becki Heilman Rosbrook; her sister, Judy (Boyd) Andersen; her mother-in-law, Beverly Hensley; her stepson, Andrew Heilman; her nephew, Travis Campbell; an extended family across Wyoming and Ohio; and her beloved “furry kids.”
On April 26, she joined God, welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Clyde Rosbrook and Eda Stephenson; and her sisters, Vicky Burton and Diane Anderson.
Linda’s strength, brilliant mind, and quiet devotion leave a void that can never be filled, but her legacy lives on in the country she defended and the family she loved so deeply.
