Joseph Larry Adams Sr.

Posted

Joe was born July 7, 1945, in Maryville, Tenn., to Rufus Arland Adams and Nora Kathleen Couch.  Joe served honorably in the United States Navy and eventually retired from Pacific Power in Evanston, where he lived until his last days.  Joe loved the Evanston community and volunteered much of his time to many organizations in town.  Joe’s sense of humor and charity will be sorely missed.
Joe is preceded in death by his wife Ella Marie Norman, parents Rufus and Kathleen, brothers Charles and William (Anne), sisters Thelma Duckett (Olin), Lanora Wilham (Eddie) and great granddaughter Matilda.
Joe will remain in the hearts of his surviving sisters Dorothy Jenner (Ernie), Alice Blaile (Joe), MaryAnn Vanetta (Tom); sons James (Jodi), Joseph Jr.; grandchildren Anthony, Bailey, Keegan, Zoe, Hannah and great-grandchildren Benjamin and Boston;  as well as many nieces and nephews from California to Florida.
Joe did not want to have a funeral service and will be cremated at the direction of Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston.
The family would like to express great appreciation for the care and professionalism of the Evanston Police Department, Evanston Fire and EMS, Evanston Regional Hospital and especially Crandall Funeral Home who took a sad and sudden loss and made it much less stressful.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation in his name to stbaldricks.org
