Jacob Webb, 37, of Evanston, passed away Monday, May 5, in Elko, Nevada. He was born October 16, 1987, in Ogden, Utah to Clayton and Jerri Osborn Webb, and raised in Randolph, Utah. He was a graduate of Rich County High School. Jake married Sarah Walker on February 26, 2018, in Evanston.
Jake was fiercely loyal, deeply loving, and always put his family first. He could be the gentlest soul, unless you crossed him, then you’d meet a fire that burned just as bright as his love.
He was an incredible dad to Alexis, Madison, and Megan — his world revolved around them. His days were often spent under the hood of a truck, out rockhounding, casting a line into the water, or blasting loud music on dirt roads with the windows down.
He loved with everything he had. Jake could build or fix anything, and he always showed up for us, even when life demanded he be away working long hours on the road.
He was a proud crane operator for National EWP; it wasn’t just a job to him, it was a dream fulfilled. He was affectionately known as Fred to his family and Fish to his coworkers.
Jake is survived, by his wife, Sarah; daughters, Madison, Megan and Alexis; parents, Clayton and Jerri; brother, Paul (Seiko) Webb; sisters, Tera (Jordan) Layland and Becky (Jake) Broadus; grandmother, Clarine Osborn; nephews Robbie, Justin, Tucker, Hutson and Carter; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Donna Webb and Gerald Osborn; and daughter, Ashley Grisham.
Viewing was held Monday, May 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta St. in Evanston. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 13, at 11 a.m., with viewing prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., at the Evanston Roundhouse, 1500 Main St., Evanston.
