Emily Jo Lester, age 26, a resident of Erie Home for Children and Adults in Girard, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, April 27, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1996, in Evanston, a daughter of Andy and Patricia (Whitehead) Lester of Tioga, Pennsylvania. Emily loved flowers, purses, dresses, sunglasses, music, “Woody” and, especially, her dog, Spiffy. She loved and was loved by everyone she met.
Emily is survived by her parents; sisters, Andrea Lester of Tioga, Pennsylvania, Anita Lester of Germany, and Jaylyn Lester of Tioga, Pennsylvania; maternal grandparents, Carl and Anita Whitehead of Bakersfield, California; paternal grandmother, Billie (Lavelle) Lester of Fort Bridger; uncle, Varrin (Wendy) Lester of Evanston; and auntie, JoAnn (Sheldon) McNabb of Bakersfield, California.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Raymond Jay Lester; and her cousin, Brian McNabb.
Friends and family are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, Pennsylvania.
