Dorothy Marie Berrier James passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, in Provo, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was greeted by her family at a great Berrier reunion.

She was born Nov. 2, 1935, to John Lee Berrier Senior and Leah Jane Voss Berrier. They preceded her in death, along with all five of her brothers: John Lee Jr., Lewis Emerson, Duane H., Richard Kendall and Gordon Hale. Dorothy loved life, and she loved to entertain and had many, many friends.

She taught elementary school in Utah and Wyoming for 42 years and taught more than 1,100 children during that time.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Wesley James; and two sons, Richard Michael (Judy) James of Springville, Utah; and Brion Lee (Belinda) James of Riverton, Utah.

Dorothy has eight grandchildren, Andrew Scott (Aubrey) James, Brandon Voss (Kennedy) James, Olivia Xóchitl (Paul) Murphy, Tyler Clark James, Wesley Quinton James, Austin Lee (Jessica) James, Cassandra Ariel (Jordan) Smith and Shelby Nicole James. She also has seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Springville Utah Stake Center at 265 S. 600 East, Springville, Utah, Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m., with a viewing at 9 am.

She will be interred at a graveside service the same day at 3 p.m. at the Lyman City Cemetery. All family and friends are invited.
