Dian Marie Buckley Teague age 78, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, surrounded by family and friends in Evanston, Wyoming.
Dian was born on Aug. 21, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Fred Logan Born and Betty Jean Scogings Born. When she was nearly 5 years old, her last name was legally changed to Buckley, the last name of her mother’s second husband.
Dian’s mother entered her into beauty pageants and dance contests when she was a child, and she won recognition and awards for her talents. She had six brothers and her mother was married two more times after divorcing Dian’s father. Because Dian was estranged from her siblings for many years, her family has almost no knowledge of them but she was close to her Aunt Dorothy May Scogings Jaggi.
Dian married but later divorced. She had three children, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Dian loved her family deeply.
Dian spent her life serving others and caring for her children and grandchildren. She worked in food service at the veterans’ hospital and Salt Lake City Community Center and various other establishments.
Dian loved baseball, especially the New York Yankees. She was their biggest fan. Her lifelong dream of attending a Yankees game was fulfilled when her son, Jeff, took her to New York to watch them play.
Dian was preceded in death by her mother, father, two step-fathers, and her son, Raymond Douglas Eagle.
She is survived by her daughter, Angel Marie Teague; and her son, Jeffery Harold Teague; her grandchildren, Shea (Devin) Moore, Kylie Mudrow, and Ammon Mudrow, and six great-grandchildren.
Dian will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3619 S. 8400 West, Magna, Utah.
