Cynthia Jean Mason Sisson passed away on May 18, from a long bout with cancer.
Cindy was born Aug. 3, 1953, to Margaret Youmans Mason and Kenneth J. Mason, in Roseburg, Oregon. She wed her forever sweetie, Sam Sisson, in 1980.
She is survived by her husband, Sam; their two sons, Harley (Jessica) and Joseph (Jess); and four granddaughters.
Graduating from South Eugene (Oregon) High School with a National Merit scholarship, she then continued her education, finishing Lewis & Clark after singing in their choir and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Her thoughtfulness was never-ending. She remembered every major event in the lives of those she loved, sending out dozens of hand-written cards every year. All who knew her were blessed to hear her beautiful infectious laugh.
Our sweet Cindy was always ready with a joke to share and brighten up the world around her.
We will have a celebration of life for her from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Bear River State Park in the Bear River Pavilion.
