Becky Sue (Piirainen) Hulse, 52, of Evanston, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer.

Becky was born May 2, 1971, in Evanston, to Wally and Betty Piirainen. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Evanston High School in 1990. She enjoyed working in the healthcare field and truly loved her job as head cashier at Home Depot in Park City, Utah.

In 2005, she met and married the love of her life, Fritz Hulse, and she became a stepmom to Skyler and Emily.

Becky was a good practical joker and loved to tease everyone. She enjoyed attending motocross, supercross and sometimes cheering her husband Fritz on in the crowd when he rode. She enjoyed camping at the annual family campout, four-wheeling, concerts, and was the unofficial No. 1 Utah Jazz fan.

Becky was one of the most beautiful and positive people you would ever meet. Throughout her six-year battle, she kept her chin up and was a shining light to everyone she touched. Her soulmate and partner in life, Fritz, was by her side being her biggest cheerleader during it all. Becky’s ability to love was her greatest talent. She cared deeply for her friends and family and made sure they knew it.

Becky is survived by her husband of 17 years, Fritz Hulse; stepson, Skyler (Amber) Hulse; stepdaughter, Emily (Derrick) Bisgaard; parents, Wally and Betty Piirainen; siblings, Dale (Becky) Piirainen and Neil Piirainen; and seven grandchildren, whom she adored.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and several loved ones.

Per her request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in her honor on Friday, Sept. 15, at the Bear Community Center and Pavilion at 7 p.m.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation toward her expenses or making a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in her memory.
