Alan Ray “Joe” Bruce, 56 years, passed
away in his home the night of Sept. 30, in Big
Piney.
He was born Sept. 17, 1963, in Evanston, to
Wright “Koski” and Lenore Bruce. Joe was a
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-
day Saints and an Eagle Scout in the Boy
Scouts of America.
He had a passion to be a cowboy and a
rancher. In his lifetime, he had worked on
ranches in Wyoming, Utah, Montana and Colorado.
At the time of his passing, he drove a truck
in the oil field. He enjoyed being a cowboy,
going hunting, and being with his family and
friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents,
his daughter’s mother, Vicky, his two sons’
mother, Shannon, and four nieces.
Joe is survived by a daughter, Charli Bruce
of Evanston; two sons, Hayden and Blake
Bruce of Big Piney; two brothers, Bill (Karen) Bruce of Tooele, Utah, and Ken (Colleen)
Bruce of Evanston; a sister, Susan Brueckmann of Pablo, Mont.; multiple nieces and nephews
and a multitude of lifelong friends.
Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Elm Street LDS church in Evanston.
A viewing was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Interment was in Evanston City Cemetery.
