Editor:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department killing a bear just because humans didn’t want him there is nothing to celebrate.
Humans continue to sprawl, build, develop and encroach on animals’ shrinking habitat and dwindling food supply, then label them “unruly” and “difficult” for trying to survive.
It doesn’t appear that this bear ever hurt a human. He was killed simply for eating a few animals out of the thousands who were going to be slaughtered for human consumption, and eating the trash that people threw out.
This animal’s life could and should have been spared by residents taking just a few precautions, such as properly securing their trash cans.
