Uinta County Sheriff’s Office incidents
May 25 - June 7, 2020
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed may not reflect final disposition of cases.
The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office responded to 230 incidents between the dates of Monday, May 25, and Sunday, June 7. Incidents included an assault, two alarms, 10 ambulance or medical assists, 10 animal problems, 19 agency assists, two citizen complaints, four citizen disputes, two citizen assists, three citizen investigative contacts, a civil problem, a civil process service, six controlled substance possessions, two dead bodies, a drug test, a DUI, three DWUS incidents, an escort, a fire, a family problem, fraud, 23 information reports, an intoxicated person, seven background investigations, a jail offense, two juvenile problems, keeping the peace, lost or found property, 18 livestock problems, a minor in possession of alcohol, a motorcycle/recreational vehicle problem, a drug/narcotic violation, a noise problem, a parking problem, three non-vandalism property damage incidents, five prisoner transports, a public service program, two rancher contacts, eight suspicious incidents, a sex offender registration, a hit and run, five traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic accident with personal injury, four traffic complaints, two traffic hazards, threatening, trespassing, vandalism, two wanted persons, two water disputes and eight welfare checks.
The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office arrested five persons between the dates of May 25 and June 7.
David A. Burns, of North Charleston, South Carolina, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Xavier M. Funk, of Green River, was arrested for violating a protection order.
Daniel O. Johnson, of Spanish Fork, Utah, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Jason G. Montoya, of Ogden, Utah, was arrested for bond revocation, failing to register as a sex offender and possessing stolen property.
Joseph P. Wright, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
