UCSD No. 1 held regular meeting on Tuesday

UCSD No. 1 Transportation Director Travis Fackrell reported that the district transported an average of 1,259 students last year. “We get that from a snapshot from the state that we take every year,” he said. That average comes from a total of elementary and secondary routes on mornings and afternoons. He added that 49,320 meals were delivered by bus over the summer. The lunch delivery program, instituted during the pandemic will not continue this year. “I was really astounded by that number,” he said. “That’s a lot of work and time that goes into that, and we really appreciate foodservice and everything that everybody does for that.” The two buses the board approved last year are being prepared for service, and should be on the road soon.
