Turkey, stuffing, potatoes with gravy, veggies, rolls, candied yams, pies, pies and more pies… That is all I can think about when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. Then, just before we sit down to feast, I realize that I didn’t even plan a drink. Ice water it is.
This year I am on it! I have found three very tasty options that I think you will really like. My family members each had their favorites, but these recipes made the top three and there is enough for a crowd. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy!
Fruit Punch
1 package each Kool-Aid mix: orange, lemon, cherry, and strawberry
1 gallon of water
3 1/2 cups of sugar
1 46-ounce can of pineapple juice
1 2-liter bottle lemon-lime soda
Mix all ingredients except the lemon-lime soda. Right before serving, add the soda. Make sure to chill well.
Apple Pie Punch
2 gallons apple cider (not spiced)
12.25-ounce caramel syrup
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
2 cinnamon sticks
Pour apple cider into a large bowl or dispenser. Then add the entire bottle of caramel syrup, pumpkin spice and two cinnamon sticks. Whisk well. Serve chilled or warmed up. Stir before serving.
Thanksgiving Punch
1 12-ounce can frozen lemonade
1 12-ounce can frozen fruit juice
1 12-ounce can frozen apple cherry juice
18 ounces pineapple juice
5 cans water
2 liters lemon-lime soda, ginger ale, sparkling cider or sparkling wine
Small bag of frozen berries
Add all the frozen juices into a large bowl. Using one of the empty frozen juice cans, add five cans of water to the bowl. Add pineapple juice and mix until everything is combined. Chill until ready to serve. Then just before serving add your favorite sparkling beverage. Garnish with frozen berries.
