Mountain View rolls past Kemmerer, wins Class 2A West Conference title

MOUNTAIN VIEW – The Mountain View High School football team are the 2A West Conference champions after rolling to a 41-0 win against Kemmerer on Friday afternoon.

The Buffalos (6-1, 5-0 2A West) will have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. They close out the regular season Oct. 20 at Greybull.

Kemmerer fell to 1-6 on the year and 0-5 in conference play.

Mountain View, ranked second in the state, scored on its first six possessions to take a 41-0 lead with 6:45 to play in the third quarter.

Briggin Bluemel scored two rushing touchdowns. Kimball Madsen ran for two touchdowns and connected with Jake Parkinsons for a touchdown through the air.Braeden Walk also threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Harlan Benedict.

Trevon Peterson, Caden Stall and Braeden Walk all had interceptions for Mountain View.

NOTES: Senior standout Jason Stoddard did not play. The extent of his injury is not yet known… story will be updated once official stats are submitted.
