Another busy week for the Evanston High School girls’ swimming and diving team is in the books, with a team win at the Rawlins Invitational highlighting the weekend.

The week began with a quad meet at Rawlins Thursday, with the Lady Devils placing third. Evanston won a pair of individual events, led by Rachel Johnson in diving (242.10) and Brooklyn Larsen in the 100 freestyle (58.91); Larsen also finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:23.33).

Lander won the team title with 399 points, followed by Riverton in second with 311 and Evanston in third with 224. Rawlins rounded out the field with 156 points.

Other notable performances in Riverton included Peyton Gilmore in diving (2nd, 180.45), Clara Hutchinson in the 500 freestyle (2nd, 6:23.29) and the 50 freestyle (4th, 29.22), Cera Fadden in the 200 individual medley (6th, 2:38.79), Ruby Hales in the 100 freestyle (8th, 1:11.27) and Raquel Rasmussen in the 50 freestyle (8th, 30.57).

Saturday’s Rawlins Invite featured solid competition, with the Lady Devils (252 points) finishing in the top spot over Sublette County (243), Rawlins (195), Kemmerer (195) and Lyman (184).

Rachel Johnson and Brooklyn Larsen were again the top finishers for the Lady Devils, with Johnson winning the diving event — this time in the 11-dive format — with 358.25 points, and Johnson winning the 200 freestyle, posting a time of 2:15.01. Larsen also finished second in the 100 butterfly, with a time of 1:15.02.

Other notable performances in Rawlins included Clara Hutchinson in the 200 freestyle (2nd, 2:22.00), Cera Fadden in the 200 individual medley (2nd, 2:39.38) and the 100 breaststroke (3rd, 1:24.58), Ruby Hales in the 200 individual medley (3rd, 3:10.23), Peyton Gilmore in diving (3rd, 283.65), Raquel Rasmussen in the 500 freestyle (5th, 6:59.50) and Jolee Swann in the 100 backstroke (5th, 1:23.18).

The Lady Devils have another busy week ahead, with meets at Big Piney Tuesday, Lyman Friday and at home Saturday.
