On Monday, March 27, a hero, husband, father, son and brother was called back to his heavenly home.
Justin Frank Groll, 49, was born Dec. 17, 1973, to Benjamin Reed and Jeralene Jackson Groll. Justin was the third child of six. After graduating from Rich High, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Mississippi Jackson Mission.
He then proceeded to play football at Southern Utah University. There he met his lifelong companion, Shauna Allen. Justin and Shauna were married on Jan. 18, 1997, and later sealed in the Logan, Utah, Temple.
Justin and Shauna welcomed four children into the world: Ashley, Jaidyn, Karter and Karsyn. His wife and children were his greatest pride and joy.
To know Justin was to love him. His presence was huge, and his laughter filled a room. He was Christ-like and loyal to a fault, making everyone feel special. His love for his Savior, daughter, sons and wife was evident to everyone.
He accomplished everything he put his mind to, receiving his master’s degree in education, scuba diving certificate and EMT/first responder training. He was a teacher and coach for 23 years and served in various church callings and community services.
Justin enjoyed hunting, fishing, ranching, the Buffalo Bills, football and spending time with his family. He would pull over to help anyone, lend a hand or be a listening ear.
Justin was always for good and changed so many lives by his example. He was the man who roped the moon, hung the stars and will be deeply missed.
Our family would like to thank the Rich County EMTs and Sheriff’s Office.
Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m on Sunday, April 2, at the Randolph LDS Church, and from 9-10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.
