The Wyoming Fish and Game Department canceled the Free Boat Day on Wednesday, July 11, due to the weather and choppy water on the Bear Ponds. It has been rescheduled for August 1. However, a few people were enjoying the cool temperatures at the ponds. Frank and Angela Willemsz from Salt Lake City, and their two grandchildren — Alison and Wyatt Adams of Kemmerer — were fishing and painting rocks. The resident geese were also enjoying the quiet and solitude of the ponds. (HERALD PHOTOS/Kayne Pyatt)
