Firefighters responded to a house full of smoke a little before 7:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 25, at 622 Stahley Ave. The family, including someone carrying a baby, walked away from the home in pajamas, but an officer at the scene said everyone got out safely. Four firetrucks had arrived at the scene by 8 a.m. The firefighters used two hoses, and several firefighters headed inside to deal with the fire. They also used a ladder truck and had to use a chainsaw to cut open the roof to fight the fire. (HERALD PHOTO/Bethany Lange)
