After going unranked in the Wyoming High School boys’ basketball preseason poll, the Evanston Red Devils have jumped up to No. 5 in Class 4A in the latest rankings.

Evanston ranked fifth in latest boys basketball poll

After going unranked in the Wyoming High School boys’ basketball preseason poll, the Evanston Red Devils have jumped up to No. 5 in Class 4A in the latest rankings.

Evanston went 2-1 at the Casper Tournament with wins over Riverton and Sheridan, ranked third in 4A. The Red Devils fell to No. 2 Laramie in the first game of the season.

Mountain View and Lyman both missed cracking the top five in 3A after both teams received 21 votes.

The Buffalos went 2-1 at the Bridger Valley Tournament, getting win against Cokeville and Big Piney. Mountain View lost 60-42 against Green River.

Lyman went 1-2 over the weekend at the Bridger Valley Tournament. The Eagles beat Kemmerer, but suffered losses to Farson-Eden and Big Piney.
