Evanston police incidents
Feb. 15-21, 2018
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 101 incidents between the dates of Thursday, Feb. 15, and Wednesday, Feb. 21. Incidents included an alarm, eight ambulance or medical assists, six animal problems, simple assault, blackmail, child abuse or neglect, controlled substance possession, two DUIs, three escorts, a fire and a fireworks problem.
Officers also responded for an intoxicated person, a juvenile problem, keeping the peace, non-vandalism property damage, a protection order violation, a hit and run, nine traffic accidents with property damage, three traffic accidents with personal injury, threatening, trespassing, a wanted person and five welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested four persons between the dates of Feb. 15 and Feb. 21.
Sarah R. Buckway, of Evanston, was arrested for child abuse.
Kasey J. Dawson, of Coalville, Utah, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of .08 percent or greater.
James Krogh, of Evanston, was arrested for violating a protection order.
Alfonso L. Moreno-Barraza, of Evanston, was arrested for public intoxication and providing false information.
