Edith DeMarce Sims of Billings, Montana, passed away on Thursday, March 9, at the age of 72. Edie had suffered for many years from several autoimmune diseases, including severe rheumatoid arthritis.

Edie was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to George DeMarce and Agnes Brown, on July 9, 1950. Edie graduated from Presentation College with a degree in medical technology.

Edie later married and was blessed with two children, Tyler and Melissa. Throughout the years, Edie was blessed with many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edie loved to cook and bake and spent many happy hours in the kitchen. She loved preparing special foods and desserts for her family, and you always knew when you went to visit, she would have prepared some of your favorites.

Edie had an infectious laugh that drew people in from all around her.

Edie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dave DeMarce.

She is survived by her children, Tyler Bown and his wife Mary of Evanston; Melissa Fuller of Billings, Montana; and Debbie Foss-Fink of Uncasville, Connecticut.

Edie is also survived by her siblings, William and Deborah DeMarce, both of Aberdeen, South Dakota; a niece; two nephews; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edie was a very kind and loving person and an important friend to many. The family would like to thank all those people in Edie’s life who offered her their love and kindness throughout the years. Edie will be deeply missed.
