Company moves forward with 24,000-square-foot building adjacent to I-80

EVANSTON — Representatives from Wyoming Horse Racing LLC brought good news to the Evanston City Council work session on Tuesday, Jan. 9.

In 2023, the organization purchased a large section of land located to the south of Prospector Drive and next to Porter’s Fireworks’ new building. Company officials said they are now ready to start the process of building a 24,000-square-foot building, which will include a restaurant, entertainment venue, a liquor store, horse racing machines and off-track betting, with plans for future expansion.
