EVANSTON — The annual Veterans Day dinner was held at the Roundhouse on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 5-8 p.m., beginning with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4280 presenting the flags and Clarissa Cole and Rebekah McFadden singing the national anthem.

Following the opening ceremony and a welcome by Mikale Nowak, dinner was served by Tyrel Nebecker and Bobbi Ottley Nebecker. Tending bar was Veterans Board member Jed Nowak and Darren Bryson.

While guests were receiving their meals, guest speaker Veterans Service Officer Nancy Stafford explained her duties and answered questions. Stafford represents veterans in Lincoln and Uinta counties and assists them in filing paperwork in order to receive their benefits and any medical claims they may have. Her office in Evanston is in the Human Resources building and she is there every Tuesday to meet with veterans.

When guests arrived, they were given six tickets with which to bid on a variety of items donated by sponsors of the event. After the dinner had been served, Mikale Nowak and Darren Bryson officiated the drawing of tickets and announcing the winners.

Music was provided throughout the evening by guitarist and singer Bodwolf.
