Community remembers Crompton with run/walk

EVANSTON — With 139 participants, this year’s Jason Crompton Memorial 5K Run/Walk raised a total of $6,650 — $500 of which came from Auxillary VFW Post 4280. Funds are used to give local students scholarships each year. The only requirement to receive a scholarship is that students are asked to submit a paragraph about what they’ve learned about Jason Crompton, or how they knew him.
