EVANSTON — Hundreds of community members and visitors gathered at Depot Square for this year’s Evanston Brewfest, held Saturday, July 25. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Evanston Chamber of Commerce.
“We welcomed approximately 550 attendees, which was about 150 more than last year,” chamber executive director Tammy Staley told the Herald. “The event raised approximately $26,500.”
Staley said this year’s Brewfest included an inaugural cornhole tournament sponsored by Evanston Brewfest and Rogue Pest Control that was popular among attendees.
“Due to its success, we’ll be bringing back both our popular beer challenges and the cornhole tournament next year,” Staley said.
The event offers a large variety of all-you-can-drink beers, served by volunteers into patrons’ miniature steins. Live music was also featured and provided by Atlas Falls.
“Attendance exceeded our expectations, and the event was so well attended that we actually began running low on beer,” Staley said. “Atlas Falls was phenomenal and kept the crowd energized and entertained throughout the event. Overall, it was an incredibly successful Brewfest. We received countless compliments, and attendees had an amazing time.”
Staley said organizers are already looking forward to next year’s Brewfest, and festivalgoers planning to attend in 2027 can get a discount for the next month.
“VIP pre-sale tickets are available at evanstonbrewfest2027@eventbrite.com now through Sept. 7 for $50,” Staley said. “After Sept. 7, VIP ticket prices will increase to $70. VIP tickets are limited, so now is the perfect time to secure your VIP tickets.”
