EVANSTON — Border Beverage held its second Bourbon Bash on Saturday, Feb. 25. Owners David and Julie O’Connell said the rare bourbons available to the large crowd in attendance were collected over the past year, are hard to find and are given in very small quantities.

“I personally would like to thank the employees of Border Beverage, Kevin Kallas, who is a member of the Evanston Youth Club board and served as auctioneer for the event, all the sales representatives who helped at tasting booths — Aaron Miller, Peggy O’Brien, Roy Landers and Gary Sanders — the generous bidders and customers from Evanston and Utah; and Holly West and her staff at the Evanston Youth Club, who support and encourage the youth of our community.”

Proceeds from the event were donated to the Evanston Youth Club.
