EVANSTON — Wyoming Game and Fish Department biologist Jeff Short was in Evanston last month at the Depot to present hunting objectives for the 2023 season. He also made his slide presentation available online at the Game and Fish website and limitations will be continually evaluated.
“Due to the extreme winter weather, which continues, we have proposed additional reductions on antelope for all hunting types since that report in March,” Short told the Herald on April 3. “Our proposed reductions will go to the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission on April 17 and 18, when they meet in Casper.”
Short said they have been super conservative already on deer in the Uinta area but Jackson may see some additional cuts.
