Evanston police incidents
April 29 – May 5, 2019
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 150 incidents between the dates of Monday, April 29, and Sunday, May 5. Incidents included an abandoned vehicle, seven ambulance or medical assists, 27 animal problems, six agency assists, two citizen complaints, four citizen disputes, six citizen assists, a civil problem, marijuana possession, controlled substance possession, defrauding an innkeeper, discharge of a firearm, three domestic violence incidents, DUI and two DWUS incidents.
Officers also responded to a false fire alarm, a false information report, an intoxicated person, a juvenile runaway, six juvenile problems, keeping the peace, littering, lost or found property, a missing person, four noise problems, non-vandalism property damage, two parking problems, two suspicious incidents, a hit and run, three traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic complaint, a traffic hazard, two threatening incidents, trespassing, property, theft, a wanted person and eight welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested nine persons between the dates of April 29 and May 5.
Lauren A. Blevins, of Mountain View, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance and an out-of-county warrant.
Nicholas R. Dunker, of Evanston, was arrested for filing a false report to a police officer.
Phillip A. Kuhn, of Evanston, was arrested for breach of peace.
Randall J. Kukoy, of Evanston, was arrested for criminal trespass and defrauding an innkeeper.
Harley D. Rhodes, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear in district court.
Amber K. Schulte, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Scott Vercauteren, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Alicia M. Wood, of Evanston was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Dorothea M. Zanetti, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance, possessing paraphernalia and public intoxication.
