The 3rd Annual Bridger Valley SWOT OHV Poker Run will be taking place on Saturday, Aug. 19. The poker run is a joint event sponsored by the Town of Mountain View, American Legion Fort Bridger Post 36 and Southwest Wyoming Off-road Trails (SWOT).

This year’s event is titled the “Rick Schuler Memorial Run,” as a tribute to one of SWOT’s founding members. Rick was an integral part of getting SWOT off the ground and was key at bringing stakeholders to the table.

He worked at the Forest Service for many decades and was the driving force behind getting OHV trails established and maintained in the Uintas. He was also selflessly involved in many community organizations and events in Uinta County over the years. Come join the poker run and celebrate all he has done.

This year’s Poker Run is in conjunction with the Town of Mountain View’s 50th birthday. The town has gone to great lengths to make this event a great one, including kids games most of the day, food vendors and a beer fest starting at 4 p.m.

Charlie Jenkins will be in concert at 7 p.m., and the whole day will be topped off with a fireworks show after the concert. Don’t miss the all the fun going on in Bridger Valley on Saturday, Aug. 19. Come help us celebrate!
