Many of you have seen and supported the American Legion “Be the One” initiative to raise awareness of veteran suicide. Here in Uinta County, we see the problem as a community issue. We know that more than just veterans are at risk.
We would like to thank all of you for the support given to this initiative and want to extend an invitation to everyone to join us at Fort Bridger American Legion Post 36, for a free pancake breakfast to recognize the first responders in our area. It is our opportunity — and yours — to let them know how appreciated they are.
On June 1, breakfast will be served from 9-11 a.m. There will also be a “Be the One” walk from the Post hall through the Fort at 10 a.m. A program with mental health personnel will follow at 11:30 a.m., back at the Post.
Please join us in letting these men and women know how much they mean to all of us.
Pete Roitz
Commander
Fort Bridger A.L. Post 36
