I want to thank Hayden Godfrey for his excellent reporting in the Uinta County Herald.

I really liked your recent column, “A final word.” People always complain about the reporter if they don’t like a story. If they read a story they do like, they think the reporter is great, even if the story was poorly written.

I enjoyed reading your coverage of community events, meetings, etc. Your writing skills improved steadily as you got more comfortable.

I appreciate you reporting on elected officials and decisions they make. I believe that if you run for a position and are elected you should be aware that your remarks and actions can and should be reported on.

My views may seem unfair to some people but I hold anyone who is elected by the people to a higher level of decorum than the general population.  The Herald and community will miss you, Hayden. Good luck in your future endeavors!
