There have been times that I have been misquoted in this newspaper and I have just let it go. But this time I am appalled at the misinformation and poor reporting printed in your Sept. 20 edition.

Your article headlined “City approves Dominion project in split vote,” in which I was quoted, has a gross error. The quote attributed to myself has not one word of truth in it. What I did say, as a member of the general public, was that, “Dominion was leaving the old metal shed and Mr. Ridenour was losing the snow removal at his business.”

I would also question the statement attributed to Sheldon Hughes. To my recollection, I do not believe he stated there was a fire at the existing regulatory station.

Sadly, this newspaper has acquired a reputation for misquoting. If the general public is interesting in the actual happenings at public meetings, contact City Hall about watching the recording of the meetings. As the Herald reporter records the meetings they attend, my advice would be to listen to said recordings and stop putting words in people’s mouths.
