There are lots of rumors out there that the Evanston Cowboy Days PRCA rodeo is not happening this year because of the construction. The Cowboy Days Committee wants to let everyone know that these rumors are not true.

We have been working hard all year to ensure that the rodeo continues as it has for the last 86 years. We understand that with the ongoing upgrade to the main grandstand there are questions about whether this year’s rodeo will occur.

As many of you have noticed, the new bleachers project has been a bit slower than expected. The construction companies have told us the main center section will be done and they’ll put portable seating on each side if needed.

This will allow us to seat approximately 5,000.  We will have a new stock contractor, new funny man clown, added women’s professional breakaway roping, increased prize money and so much more!
