EVANSTON — A Lyman woman, Shawdawn Oehler, 34, who was facing misdemeanor charges of accessory after the fact shortly after the fatal shooting of Jeremy Jacques, has been found not guilty by a six-member jury in Uinta County Circuit Court.

Shortly after the crime’s commission, her husband, Skyler Gray, allegedly demanded that Oehler throw a firearm out of their vehicle’s window as they were fleeing the scene.

According to court documents, Oehler initially told investigators that she complied with her husband’s demand, and further explained that she did so because their children were in the vehicle with them and she was scared for their safety.

Prior to the June 4 acquittal, Oehler was facing up to six months in jail for her role in crime, which occurred in Fort Bridger, during Labor Day weekend and the annual Fort Bridger Mountain man Rendezvous last year.

Gray is charged with first-degree murder and is currently awaiting trial in Third District Court scheduled for November. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
