EVANSTON — On June 3, the Evanston Urban Renewal Ball will celebrate 35 years. 35 years of fundraising, (one of the longest in the state of Wyoming), 35 years of Renewal Ball chairs and volunteers and 35 years of successes in downtown Evanston!
This year’s theme is, “Thanks for the Memories – Here’s to the Next 35 Years!”
Come join us on a walk down memory lane. There will be 35 years of Renewal Ball posters on display and recognition of 35 years of Renewal Ball chairs and of volunteers.
A four-station buffet will be provided by Kumbayah Kitchens out of Park City, Utah. All attendees will be able to dance to the tunes of DJ Kevin Kallas and enjoy a refreshment with Kate’s Katering.
The live and silent auction will have some great items, including a three-night stay in a four-bedroom condo at Entrada in Moab plus more, half a beef or a pig, a private showing at Aspen Cinemas, a beautiful handcrafted locomotive and tender, a golf cart, lots of historic photos — or how about a night at Little America and Dirty Dancing? There will be lots of great items and something for everyone.
Urban Renewal will continue to support the Farmers Market and will also sponsor “Music in the Air at Depot Square,” eight free concerts for the community, Thursdays, July and August. Another great lineup of music is scheduled.
Urban Renewal is excited to use funds this year not only for the continued support of the Strand Theater but for downtown public art. Exciting things will soon be coming to downtown.
Urban Renewal chose to give all the great volunteers a break this year, and the board and staff have been working hard with the help of a few extra volunteers to put the party of the year together.
