EVANSTON — Shawna Michelle Miner, 50, passed away the evening of Nov. 6, 2022 at the Rocky Mountain Nursing Home in Evanston.
Shawna was born in Casper, Wyoming, to Jay and Linda Dempsey. They were later divorced. She moved to Lyman, Wyoming, with her mother Linda in about 1975.
Linda met and married Gary Miner in 1979. In 1981, Gary adopted Shawna. She attended Lyman Elementary and Lyman High School for a while.
In later years, she moved with her mother to Evanston, Wyoming, where she resided until her death.
Shawna is survived by her mother, Linda; two daughters: Mersadees Rasmusson and Annika Neilson; two grandchildren: Quinton Padron and Ellie Babel; also her grandmother, Pat Rogers; stepmother, Vendy Miner; Aunt Kathy Constantine and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Miner; Grandfather, Jim Rogers; Aunt Diane Cox, beloved Aunt and Uncle Joe and Darlene Rue; and great-grandparents, Oscar and Edith Henning.
There will be no service at this time. A memorial service will be held later in the summer.
