Evanston police incidents (May 15-17, 2017)

Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.

The Evanston Police Department responded to 59 incidents between the dates of Monday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 17. Incidents included an alcohol offense, three alarms, childbirth assistance, five animal problems, an alcohol offense, an agency assist, two citizen complaints, two citizen assists, two citizen investigative contacts, controlled substance use, a dead body, two incidents of domestic violence, fraud, harassment, three incidents of keeping the peace, a protection order violation, a prisoner transfer, a prowler (Center St.), recovered property, a suspicious incident, a traffic accident with no responsible party, theft, a wanted person, a 911 child welfare check and three welfare checks. 

The Evanston Police Department arrested three persons between the dates of May 15 and May 17. 

Thomas L. Bergen, of Evanston, was arrested for battery of a household member. 

Elizabeth I. Harbert, of Evanston, was arrested for two counts of controlled substance possession. 

Shelby B. Morgan, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to pay.
